Buildings sit on grass, not dirt yards

Each shop used to sit in a brown pad with a few mushrooms or rocks scattered around the door. It made town look like a quarry, and it was easy to harvest the wrong tile when you only wanted to walk in.

The dirt yards are gone. Buildings rest on the grass at the end of their spur. The home farm plot is still soil — that is the one place dirt belongs. Caps, ore, and trees keep to the resource fields, not the bakery lawn.
